@jewishreader The jazz-fusion band "Hiroshima" recorded a track called "One of Us" in 1992, and it's one of my favs, as it's a love song to someone who has married into a different ethnicity. But I was pretty sure that wasn't the one you meant.

(The Swedish pop group Abba also recorded a song called "One of Us," but that was in 1981 IIRC.)
