[Edit Update: John's Towing claims it was my insurance company that told them not to take the car to the body shop, AND that my insurance company told them not to contact me. I am skeptical given their reviews are horrendous, but the guy's story seemed plausible. So I will be giving Progressive even more of an earful].

So my car got smashed into while it was parked, and the front was totalled (the folks responsible did leave their info). Then the fucking tow driver didn't take it to the body shop as he was supposed to. Instead he took it to a storage facility in fucking Pacifica so he could charge me storage fees. [Edit: we wary of using] John's Towing (my insurance company chose them, and they will be getting an earful).
