Sooooo... Apparently ol' Elon is simply taking name/handles from Twitter (I won't call it ex) users. He doesn't offer to buy them for some fair market value, no. Rather he just takes them. Such a believer in the marketplace is Musk that he simply takes rather than pays.

Anyway, there is a body that stands over the X.com name in much the same way that Musk stands over the handles of Twitter users.

That body is #ICANN. It has the power and authority to yank domain names that are used in clearly abusive ways.

And there is no doubt that Elon has used the Twitter domain name x.com in ways that are abusive, that contravene and open and free discourse, and that possibly violate civil (contract) or even criminal laws.

So perhaps ICANN should pull the domain name registration of x.com
