Just finished 7½ days of jury duty over a trial covering 2½ weeks of time. 2 days of jury selection. 2 days of witnesses and evidence. 1 day of jury instructions and closing arguments. 2½ days of deliberations for 2 phases.
Some stenographer wrote a story for Bay City News (no idea what that outlet is) based entirely on the prosecutor's statement.

What the statement and story leaves out is that the security guards made this a lot worse by how they handled it. They used a very slight provocation to prompt a fight. By their own testimony, they should have done something very different. (I'll post something to my blog this weekend.)

Do you feel like justice was served?
@edgeworth We were answering whether he did some specific things. None of this experience changes my view that we ill serve people with how we sentence and not rehabilitate people convicted of crimes.
@kingrat Yeah ever since I’ve had similar opinions I’ve been released from consideration for juries
@edgeworth I usually get excused because my brother was a police officer for nearly 2 decades.
