@45rpm it’s hard for me to describe how fascinating, how enthralling this song was when it first came out. It’s sound was very exotic; it didn’t sound like anything else I’d ever heard. Of course it was upbeat and danceable, it’s rhythm insistent, driving, unrelenting. Iconic.

The album is was on, often called Security, could be described in much the same way. Exotic. Enthralling. One of my favorite albums of that decade.

@45rpm @stevenray I had a similar thought, recalling how this was one of the earliest “new wave” songs that really struck me and got me to explore less mainstream music. This was back when we watched MTV and similar local video music shows to hear the latest cool music.
