This polar bear cub is alone and has been for a while now. The cub appears to be healthy as he walks along in the snow.

Yesterday, I walked around the three schools near my house. Very quiet since school is out for Christmas break. The clouds were seriously moody, but the sun was setting, too. #Alaska #AlaskaInWinter #KenaiPeninsulaAlaska

Mt. Redoubt, which sits in Cook Inlet but can be seen from just about anywhere in my town. Lots of hoar frosted trees in between where I was standing and the volcano.

A very cold, wrinkled me standing somewhere on the trail. I have on a heavy coat, a hat, heavy collar cover and my glasses are fogged up.

My walk today was awesome and cold...5 degrees. I spend so much time looking up at the frosty trees, it's a wonder I've not broken my neck. There is nothing more pure and pristine to me than being out on the trails in the cold, crisp almost-sunset afternoon and seeing the light of the fading sun on the tops of the trees. #Alaska #AlaskaInWinter #CentennialParkAK #FrostyTrees

I took this shot of Mt. Redoubt, an active volcano, which sits in Cook Inlet but can be seen from just about anywhere on the western Kenai Peninsula. The sun is setting in this photo behind Mt. Redoubt so the sky is orange, red and yellow. In front of Mt. Redoubt are hundreds of frosty trees and the Kenai River is in the mix, too.

Very dramatic shot of the sun setting this afternoon over Centennial Park. There are some trees with dark orange and yellow skies along with some blue sky.

I usually walk the road in Centennial Park, but in this picture you can see it is covered in snow. Also, you can see many frosted trees.

Walking the trails inside the Centennial Park by the Kenai River and I took some photos of the very frosty trees and you can see the river in the background as well as a house on the other side of the river.

Still walking the trail in Centennial Park and snapped this photo of several frosty trees. This trail is also on the river.
