AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>This is an older article from February 2025, but I thought it might be worth sharing here in the wake of Trump's attempts to transform the civil rights section at the Department of Justice into a fascist attack dog that works only to further his authoritarian ideological goals. Within three weeks of Downmarket Mussolini's inauguration, the regime had already repurposed the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights towards prosecuting Trump's Christian Nationalist agenda, while actively sidelining investigations into racial abuse, disability access, and even sexual assault.</p><p><a href="https://www.propublica.org/article/department-of-education-civil-rights-office-investigations" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">propublica.org/article/departm</span><span class="invisible">ent-of-education-civil-rights-office-investigations</span></a></p><p>“We’ve Been Essentially Muzzled”: Department of Education Halts Thousands of Civil Rights Investigations Under Trump</p><p>"In the three-and-a-half weeks since Donald Trump returned to the presidency, investigations by the agency that handles allegations of civil rights violations in the nation’s schools and colleges have ground to a halt.</p><p>At the same time, there’s been a dramatic drop in the number of new cases opened by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights — and the few that attorneys have been directed to investigate reflect some of Trump’s priorities: getting rid of gender-neutral bathrooms, banning transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports and alleged antisemitism or discrimination against white students."</p><p>I don't really think it's a coincidence that Trump and his Education Secretary Linda McMahon (a woman extremely active in the cause to privatize education and promote religious voucher schools) immediately prioritized the same winger bullshit at the DOE as the regime is now trying to force the DoJ's civil rights division to pursue; namely discrimination against white people, alleged antisemitism, and women's rights - but only in the extremely narrow context of keeping trans women out of women's sports and bathrooms. This is a Christian Nationalist government, actively working to install a Christian Nationalist political and social order on the United States by whatever means legal, or extralegal, it requires to do so.</p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/LindaMcMahon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LindaMcMahon</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ChristianNationalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ChristianNationalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/DepartmentOfEducation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DepartmentOfEducation</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/USPol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USPol</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Racism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Racism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/DoJ" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DoJ</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/WhiteSupremacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WhiteSupremacy</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Patriarchy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Patriarchy</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/DisabilityRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DisabilityRights</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>One of the reasons I have no problem characterizing the Trump regime as an openly Christian Nationalist government, is the administration's stated attempts to turn roughly seventy years worth of civil rights laws on their head to instead fight against made up fascist moral panics like "reverse discrimination," "the assault on religious liberty," and "gender ideology turning our kids trans." This plan, which the fascists have articulated in the open multiple times, revolves around repurposing the language of social justice to argue that actually, the state should be punishing folks who infringe on the "liberty" of the *real* victims in our society; rich straight white fundamentalist men. Conceptually, the arguments for all this are absurd, but these ideas have been widely adopted (for cynical reasons) on the American right, and the promise to use the government to go after the enemies of an increasingly fundamentalist white American volk is absolutely one of the reasons seventy-five million or so fascists voted for the Trump regime last fall.</p><p>Now we're getting a clearer understanding of how this fascist unreality is going to work in real time. New mission statements for the Department of Justice's civil rights division have been leaked to The Guardian, and they make it pretty clear that the Trump regime is going to weaponize the Department of Justice to subvert the civil rights of non-white, LGBTQ, and otherwise marginalized Americans to re-entrench white supremacy as official state policy, and the dominant ideological position in our legal discourse.</p><p><a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/apr/18/justice-department-civil-rights-division-trump" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">theguardian.com/us-news/2025/a</span><span class="invisible">pr/18/justice-department-civil-rights-division-trump</span></a></p><p>Trump ally pushes DoJ unit to shift civil rights focus, new messages show</p><p>"The justice department’s civil rights division is shifting its focus away from its longstanding work protecting the rights of marginalized groups and will instead pivot towards Donald Trump’s priorities including hunting for noncitizen voters and protecting white people from discrimination, according to new internal mission statements seen by the Guardian.</p><p>The new priorities were sent to several sections of the civil rights division this week by Harmeet Dhillon, a Trump ally who was confirmed a little more than two weeks ago to lead the division. Several of them give only glancing mention to the statutes and kinds of discrimination that have long been the focus of the division, which dates back to the Civil Rights Act of 1957. Several of the mission statements point to Trump’s executive orders as priorities for the section."</p><p>Speaking frankly, I find this article's "will he or won't he" tone pretty disturbing, but if you actually read through what the Trump regime is proposing it's pretty much entirely nightmare fascist shit. For example, they're repurposing the voting section away from protecting the enfranchisement of marginalized people, to rooting out non-existent voter fraud. The regime also wants to stop enforcing the 1968 Fair Housing Act; presumably to make it easier for rich crackers to refuse to rent to nonwhite or otherwise marginalized tenants. The entire sections on women's rights, educational rights, and disability rights are about persecuting trans people now. Finally the regime wants to reassign the Housing and Civil Enforcement section to focus on protecting the rights of members of the military, and religious land use; so you can expect fundamentalist Mega Churches to start petitioning the DoJ to make it illegal to stop them from spreading their hateful ideology anywhere they like, while simultaneously kissing consumer and lending protections for anyone who isn't a straight white dude who thinks Trump was sent by Jesus to save us from planetary-crisis levels of DEI and "wokeness," goodbye.</p><p>Unsurprisingly, many of the Very Serious PeopleTM who have been minimizing how dangerous the Trump regime's "reforms" are already, are once again treating this like "Trump being Trump" and noting that it's unclear how far the Trumpenreich will be able to progress its Christian Nationalist plans in the face of what will no doubt be some opposition from career civil servants in the Department of Justice. Given however that the Trump regime is also moving forward with plans to purge the US government of ideological opposition through Schedule F, and secured almost a billion dollars of pro-bono work from cowardly DC law firms for causes Trump supports, I think this attitude is woefully shortsighted. This is all very real, and very dangerous. The regime has already been quite successful installing fascist unreality based on its reactionary conspiracy theories, and until proven otherwise, I don't see any reason to believe they will be less successful in a Department of Justice being run by a Trump-humping nazi bootlicker like Pam Bondi.</p><p>Archived: <a href="https://archive.ph/JiYkT" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">archive.ph/JiYkT</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> <br> </p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/PamBondi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PamBondi</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/DepartmentOfJustice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DepartmentOfJustice</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Racism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Racism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ChristianNationalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ChristianNationalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ChristianFundamentalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ChristianFundamentalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ConspiracyTheories" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ConspiracyTheories</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/USPol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USPol</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/WhiteSupremacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WhiteSupremacy</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Mysogyny" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mysogyny</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a></p>

How Gorka finds the time to do so amid his typically busy day of doing Islambophia, warmongering, and spreading fascist ideology, remains a mystery."</p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/antisemitism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>antisemitism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Gaza" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gaza</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Genocide" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Genocide</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ICE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ICE</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/StudentProtests" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StudentProtests</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/IdeologicalPolicing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IdeologicalPolicing</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ChristianNationalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ChristianNationalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/MarcoRubio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MarcoRubio</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Gorka" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Gorka</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/WarOnTerror" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WarOnTerror</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/HumanRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HumanRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Broligarchs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Broligarchs</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Musk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Musk</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>Although it isn't making even the fringes of the mainstream discourse surrounding the fascist GOP's election-rigging SAVE Act, the reality is that unless nazis with an eliminationist agenda towards trans people make some sort of exception, the bill will likely disenfranchise every trans person in America who has legally changed their name, and quite possibly most people who are in the process of transition and thus have ID that may be inconsistent with their presentation or other documents:</p><p><a href="https://truthout.org/articles/the-save-act-is-not-just-about-married-women-its-about-trans-people-too/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">truthout.org/articles/the-save</span><span class="invisible">-act-is-not-just-about-married-women-its-about-trans-people-too/</span></a></p><p>Federal Voter ID Bill Attacks Trans Voters — and Anyone Else Who Has Changed Their Name</p><p>"Much of the news coverage of the SAVE Act has focused almost entirely on the broad category of “married women” — a bloc of 69 million who may not have updated documents. But arguably, such a law is aimed directly at transgender people in addition to affecting married people who change their names. And that’s not to mention the 140 million U.S. citizens who don’t have passports and tens of millions who also don’t have easy access to a birth certificate. Regardless, the fact that trans people are at the center of this story has been easy to sideline: A story published by NPR last week listed eight things to know about this legislation — but didn’t mention the implications for trans people at all."</p><p>At this point can anyone who has been paying attention (a very small group indeed, as far as I can tell) claim to be surprised that trans-eliminationist nazis are trying to pass a law that further erases trans people from public life and social participation, yet most of American society hasn't even registered that as a potential consequence of this disastrous, anti-democratic bill? After all, when the president of the United States signed an executive order more or less saying that trans people didn't exist, which historically is a sure sign that a government intends to make that a reality, most Very Serious PeopleTM in our discourse shrugged and pointed to public polling as an excuse to not speak out to defend trans people. So why would this act of erasure and disenfranchisement be any different? </p><p>"Benfield is concerned that not naming trans people as a target of this legislation contributes to an insidious process that is ongoing: the erasure of trans people from public life in general.</p><p>“It’s going to affect lots of different kinds of people,” she said of the SAVE Act. “But the reason that the erasure of trans people worries me in this conversation is that it’s consistent with strategic erasure from the public sphere that’s already been happening.”</p><p>That strategic erasure includes President Donald Trump’s series of executive orders attacking so-called “gender ideology” and both state and national legislation that attempts to criminalize support for trans youth in physical and social transition. There are now only two genders — “male” and “female”— and anyone who falls outside of that could potentially face being pushed out of public life, including schools, sports, restroom facilities, and now voting itself. Even policies like Trump’s executive orders that aren’t immediately enforceable create a chilling effect, pushing trans people into the closet through intimidation." </p><p>I would hope that because it requires sixty votes in the Senate, the SAVE Act is a dead on arrival bill; but I can't say I'm all that confident in a Democratic Party that is openly blaming the results of an election they seemingly *tried* to lose on their (actually, nonexistent) support of trans rights, and its ability to protect people like me. Even if the SAVE Act is shot down however, the fact that this attempt at the mass disenfranchisement of trans people in American civic life doesn't even rate a talking point in this very public debate, strongly implies that when these bills only target trans people, the establishment "opposition" to the fascist agenda will continue to shrug, offer empty words of condolence, and simply let it happen; which is pretty much par for the course in the fascist Trump 2.0 era. </p><p>To say that living in a society where your rights and even your existence are not so much up for debate, but rather already judged to be either irrelevant, or non-existent, is surreal and unnerving, would be an understatement of massive proportions. I guess there is one upside here however, because if trans people can no longer vote, perhaps I'll finally be free of liberals who honestly don't give a rats ass about my life, screaming at me to support a Democratic Party that doesn't care whether I live or die, while pretending their party is a much better advocate for my right to exist, than they actually are.</p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/GOP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GOP</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/SAVEAct" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SAVEAct</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/LBTQ" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LBTQ</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Disenfranchisement" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Disenfranchisement</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/HumanRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HumanRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransErasure" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransErasure</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Transphobia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Transphobia</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>In a move that demonstrates mainstream Democrat politicians have learned absolutely nothing from helping to build a fascist police state panopticon, and the migrant carceral complex, before shitting themselves so hard they lost to a would-be dictator like Trump, Massachusetts Dems have quietly passed a trans student sports ban timebomb and are trying to sell it as a victory for protecting trans rights:</p><p><a href="https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/massachusetts-house-dems-pass-bill" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">erininthemorning.com/p/massach</span><span class="invisible">usetts-house-dems-pass-bill</span></a></p><p>Massachusetts House Dems Pass Bill That Could Ban Trans Students From Sports; Senate Next</p><p>"On Wednesday, the Massachusetts House of Representatives passed a $1.3 billion budget bill that included a transgender sports ban—the first such measure to pass any legislative chamber in a blue state. Rather than voting to strike down the provision, Democrats advanced an amendment allowing the ban to go into effect only after its impacts are studied. Party leaders framed the move as a win for transgender rights, claiming the study would never materialize and the ban was effectively dead. But critics argue the provision puts transgender people at risk if political winds shift or future administrations decide to act on the study. Discussions suggest Democrats chose the procedural maneuver to shield members in swing districts from casting a vote in support of transgender rights."</p><p>Are you fucking kidding me? Let me see if I understand this correctly. In the middle of a state-sanctioned, anti-trans pogrom being conducted by fascists who have already declared that trans people don't exist, and openly admitted they're trying to drive trans people from public life, (two things that historically have preceded the direct extermination of marginalized groups), a solidly blue state government full of supposed "liberals" just passed an anti-trans law they promise not to actually enforce, because - they don't want to go on record standing up for the human rights of trans people as doing so is unpopular? Did I get that right? So the reason you decided to literally provide ideological support for an anti-trans pogrom is that you're cowards, and that makes it okay somehow? Quick question; if launching Chuck Schumer into the sun polled well, would you folks be afraid to oppose that on record too, or are you only cowards when we're talking about the human rights of trans people?</p><p>Look, if American liberals don't want me to point out that the war on trans rights (which aids a real as fuck anti-trans pogrom being conducted by the fascist right) is a bipartisan initiative, they need to start telling the political leaders they insist I *have* to vote for to stand up for trans people being targeted by a nazi moral panic with eliminationist characteristics; it's gotta be you folks, because it's clear as fucking day that the Democratic Party as a whole isn't listening to trans people like me. </p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/USPol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>USPol</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Democrats" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Democrats</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransBills" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransBills</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/massachusetts" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>massachusetts</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/eliminationism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eliminationism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransSportsBan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransSportsBan</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Collaboration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Collaboration</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/HumanRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HumanRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>Many critics, who almost invariably do not work in the fields of historical study or education, will reflexively scoff at the idea that the Trump regime is attempting to erase, or re-write history in a way that supports a Christian Nationalist worldview as the official truth and indeed the only valid, legal way to speak about history; often while admitting that Trump is functionally illiterate and certainly doesn't read much history. Of course that argument is irrelevant because he's surrounded by a whole bunch of white nationalist freaks who certainly do read and care about history, in so much as it furthers their project to transform America into a permanent fascist dictatorship and white ethnostate; Stephen Miller, who is clearly functioning as the regime's Goebbels, has certainly read a history book or two. Even setting that obvious reality aside however, sometimes Trump's executive orders just come right out and admit this is the plan. Take for example Der Führer's recent order to put noted white nationalist (and Vice President) JD Vance in charge of scrubbing the Smithsonian museum (and zoo) complex of "improper ideology."</p><p><a href="https://www.commondreams.org/news/trump-smithsonian-executive-order" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">commondreams.org/news/trump-sm</span><span class="invisible">ithsonian-executive-order</span></a></p><p>'Unabashed Fascism': Trump Executive Order Targets 'Improper Ideology' at Smithsonian</p><p>"U.S. President Donald Trump has elicited a fresh wave of anger after he signed an executive order on Thursday targeting exhibits or programs critical of the United States at the Smithsonian Institution, a sprawling network of largely free museums and Washington, D.C.'s National Zoo.</p><p>The order aims to prevent federal money from going to displays that "divide Americans based on race" or "promote programs or ideologies inconsistent with federal law and policy," as well as remove "improper ideology" from Smithsonian's museums, education centers, and research centers.</p><p>"This is unabashed fascism," wrote the journalist Lauren Wolfe on X on Thursday. Amy Rutenberg, a history professor at Iowa State University, wrote: "Last week, while visiting several Smithsonian museums, I kept wondering how long it would take for this administration to direct exhibits to be pulled. Not long, it turns out."</p><p>Look, if you think I'm being uncharitable about the purpose of this executive order, you can simply read the order yourself (here: <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/03/restoring-truth-and-sanity-to-american-history/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">whitehouse.gov/presidential-ac</span><span class="invisible">tions/2025/03/restoring-truth-and-sanity-to-american-history/</span></a>) because Downmarket Mussolini makes it very clear this is about erasing the history of slavery, structural racism, the existence of trans women, and anything that makes white people uncomfortable about the history of a white supremacist country built on chattel slavery and genocide. Trump even pinned the tail on the donkey by instructing the interior secretary to reinstall statues and monuments removed or changed since January 1st, 2020; and if your memory is failing you, that date is clearly about undoing projects to remove monuments to racists and Confederate slavers, in response to the efforts of the Black Lives Matter movement and the George Floyd protests. </p><p>Anyone arguing this is about preserving history from ideology (a phrase that makes zero sense because history is affected by the ideologies governing human behavior at the time it happens; obviously) somehow, is literally pushing fascist propaganda; this is about establishing an official narrative in support of a white nationalist permanent social and political order, and slowly eliminating any source of facts that might argue with that narrative. This is ideological policing, and history has shown us that these efforts to rewrite the past and eliminate dissenting narratives typically end in, literal, mass graves. </p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/JDVance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JDVance</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/History" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>History</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Patriarchy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Patriarchy</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Slavery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Slavery</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Education" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Education</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Musem" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Musem</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Smithsonian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Smithsonian</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/WhiteNationalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WhiteNationalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Propaganda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Propaganda</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/IdeologicalPolicing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IdeologicalPolicing</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/BLM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BLM</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/StephenMiller" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StephenMiller</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/GeorgeFloydProtests" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GeorgeFloydProtests</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ConfederateMonuments" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ConfederateMonuments</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>I'm often leery of sharing stories like this because the point isn't, and cannot be, that anti-trans policies and the dehumanization of trans people in our society is bad, because it also affects cis people, particularly women, in horrifyingly negative ways. One of the primary reasons we've facing down a politically empowered fascist Trump regime, is that Americans as a society have already accepted the idea that some people don't matter, and aren't human enough for the full spectrum of human rights; even if the folks making those arguments rarely admit what they're actually arguing for in a big picture sense. As in the case of Muslims, migrants, student protestors and women who want to control their own bodies, our society's casual disregard for the human and civil rights of trans people has acted as a permission gate for the Trump regime's larger project to strip the rights of anyone they don't like, or who dares to speak out in dissent.</p><p>Despite my reservations about centering cis experiences when talking about the anti-trans pogrom however, the fact is that cis women *are* negatively affected by the war on trans existences in both a micro and macro sense; whether it's hate-fueled transinvestigators invading women's bathrooms to "protect women," or the way anti-trans propaganda serves as a stepping stone for larger patriarchal efforts to possess women's bodies, this is a very real consequence of a normalized anti-trans pogrom that dehumanizes, otherizes, and criminalizes trans people (particularly trans women.) Furthermore, as the story of Dani Davis, a Florida woman fired by Walmart for being tall enough to trigger abusive behavior from a raging transphobe, demonstrates - the reality is that a society that isn't prepared to stand up for the human rights of trans people, isn't likely to stand up for the human rights of women, or workers, either. </p><p>For more on that, let's turn to this short (14 minute) video by Mike Figueredo from THR:</p><p>The Humanist Report: Walmart Fires Cis Employee *BECAUSE* She Was Harassed by Transphobic Customer in Bathroom</p><p>"A Walmart employee named Dani Davis was accosted and threatened by a transphobic customer during her shift, and she was subsequently fired because of it. The customer followed her into the bathroom and accused her of being a man and yelled transphobic slurs at her. Days after she reported the incident to her supervisor, she was fired because she supposedly posed a “security risk” to others in the store. In this video we’ll talk about this disturbing story and discuss how transphobia harms ALL women; both trans and cis alike."</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nauz7001Q0U" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=nauz7001Q0</span><span class="invisible">U</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Walmart" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Walmart</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/LaborRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LaborRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Propaganda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Propaganda</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/DaniDavis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DaniDavis</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Transphobia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Transphobia</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Collaboration" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Collaboration</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Patriarchy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Patriarchy</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CultureWar" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CultureWar</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRightsAreHumanRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRightsAreHumanRights</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>One of the most surreal things about living through the opening phases of a fascist anti-trans pogrom, is getting people around me who aren't trans, and aren't paying close attention to what's going on, to understand that I'm speaking literally. Historically, when an authoritarian state legally denies that a dehumanized, targeted people even exist, it's because they intend to take steps to ensure that they don't. More to the point however, you don't have to be a history student to hear what GOP politicians and fascist propagandists are already saying out loud; they've openly talked about erasing trans people from public life, run Congressional campaigns on promises to make being transgender illegal, and we've even caught their think tank groups having strategy sessions with Republican lawmakers where they confess the end game is using attacks on trans youth to make gender affirming care illegal for everyone. I am not exaggerating or speaking metaphorically when I say the Trump regime ran on, and is enacting a trans eliminationist agenda; even if establishment liberals in the media and politics aren't talking about it because they don't care, don't believe the fascists are serious about doing a pogrom against trans people, or don't think standing up for the human rights of trans people is politically popular. </p><p>Given that the other option is dying in silence as the test case scenario for stripping the human rights of everyone else the regime doesn't like however, a lot of trans people are speaking out about what is going on here, and why even cis people who are currently unaffected by the fascist right's crusade to wipe out trans people need to take this seriously and fight back to protect trans lives. In that vein, I'd like to share this twenty-six minute discussion between The Bitchuation Room's Francesca Fiorentini and Imara Jones of TransLash Media that focuses on the GOP's current legislative assault on trans existence, how cis people are being played by the fascists to justify their own oppression further down the line, and why the attacks on trans rights and trans identities acts a skeleton key for a larger authoritarian agenda.</p><p>The Bitchuation Room: The Right Wants To Make Trans People Illegal </p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlRLBGGe1vc" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=LlRLBGGe1v</span><span class="invisible">c</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/GOP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GOP</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/DemocraticParty" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DemocraticParty</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Project2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Project2025</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/HumanRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HumanRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/FrancescaFiorentini" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FrancescaFiorentini</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ImaraJones" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ImaraJones</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>Fresh off punting a winnable election to a trans-eliminationist fascist political movement, a Democratic Party unprepared to accept it was a bad idea to pick aiding a genocide, promise to hunt down migrants better than the GOP, and court suburban white fascists who vote Republican over turning out their own base and beating Trump, has decided to blame their loss on trans Americans they already abandoned during that campaign anyway. Now, as the Trump regime legally codifies its attempts to eliminate trans people from public life, and even existence itself, "wise centrists" in the party are using their "one trans friend" as a shield to cover up their plan to, um, defend trans people from fascists even less! </p><p><a href="https://truthout.org/articles/democrats-reshuffling-on-trans-issues-cedes-key-territory-to-the-far-right/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">truthout.org/articles/democrat</span><span class="invisible">s-reshuffling-on-trans-issues-cedes-key-territory-to-the-far-right/</span></a></p><p>Democrats’ “Reshuffling” on Trans Issues Cedes Key Territory to the Far Right</p><p>"A Republican lawmakers wage an all-out assault on transgender people, Democrats are reportedly “reshuffling.” In a recent article, sources told NOTUS that the party is attempting to adjust its tone on trans issues following its crushing losses in the 2024 election, instead seeking a sort of middle ground that won’t “inflame” voters.</p><p>The myth that Democrats were too radical on trans issues has been echoed by various mainstream pundits in the wake of Donald Trump’s return to the White House. In reality, moderate Democrats largely declined to speak out about trans rights on the campaign trail. "</p><p>As a trans woman, I often wonder if rank and file, cis liberals understand the degree to which the (nominally) liberal establishment has completely abandoned, even turned against, trans people at the precise moment a politically empowered fascist movement with a trans-eliminationist agenda, has begun to legally enshrine an anti-trans pogrom. </p><p>Given the high-profile (although often performative) support the "liberal" establishment, including the Democratic Party, corporate entertainment and media organizations, and even large companies in the private sector expressed for trans rights a mere eight years ago, I can understand how folks who aren't living a trans existence, or plugged into trans issues, might not even be aware of how ephemeral that support was, and how much the mainstream establishment's appetite for defending trans people from fascist repression has shrunk. Speaking anecdotally, most labor class liberals I know who supported trans rights in 2016, still seem to support them (at least publicly) in 2025, and are opposed to the fascist anti-trans pogrom, but become angry, or defensive when I point out that the liberal leadership class no longer seems to agree with them. </p><p>Of course to excuse this act of scapegoating and betrayal, the liberal leadership class points to issue based polling that shows attacking trans rights is popular with cis-het people right now. Can anyone being honest really be surprised by that? Trump and the fascist GOP have spent the past six years manufacturing consent for an anti-trans pogrom, while our "allies" in the liberal mainstream discourse have increasingly refused to even talk about trans rights in a humanizing, effective way; and as such, I'm supposed to be shocked that trans rights aren't polling well in cis-het America? You know what else isn't polling well right now in America? A cowardly, collaborationist Democratic Party that refuses to stand up to Elon Musk, Downmarket Mussolini, and the fascist Trump regime; to turn around and blame the party's feckless incompetence on trans people existing so the GOP can make attack ads pretending that's Democrat's fault, would be craven and malicious at the best of times. To do it in the middle of a fascist anti-trans pogrom, when every trans person resides firmly in the crosshairs of Trump's eliminationist agenda, is unconscionable, and unforgivable. </p><p>Look, I don't know how to tell people that my right to exist as my authentic self is not a bargaining chip to be traded with nazis who want me dead, in response to an Astroturfed moral panic, and the results of one election in which there's little evidence the Democratic Party was even *trying* to win, without making them feel defensive. The simple truth however is that if whether or not you're prepared to even pretend to fight for the idea that trans rights are human rights, in the middle of a fascist anti-trans pogrom that is now taking on the force of law, depends on what focus group polling says then you never believed trans rights were human rights at all. </p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/GOP" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GOP</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/DemocraticParty" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DemocraticParty</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Project2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Project2025</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/VichyEstablishment" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VichyEstablishment</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/HumanRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HumanRights</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>So as I mentioned yesterday, I'd like to share this Majority Report interview with trans actress Laverne Cox about the fascist assault on trans rights, the dehumanization of trans people, and how what I've come to define as the anti-trans pogrom fits in to the larger capitalist, patriarchal, white supremacist, and ultimately fascist project. While Cox is a well informed, focused, and insightful guest that's worth listening to in any setting, as a trans woman one of the things I liked best about this interview is how the two cisgender hosts of the show allowed her to control the discussion and ultimately create a conversation that I think is equally valuable for trans people, other members of the LGBTQ community, and cis-het folks who want to serve as accomplices, not just allies, for a trans community in the fascist crosshairs as we speak. </p><p>Cox and the hosts discuss the recent history of anti-trans legislation, the larger fascist quest to eras trans people in public life, and how dehumanizing language and anti-trans propaganda serve as a permission structure for both eliminating trans people's civil rights and further dehumanization. They also talk about the reality that this project to justify and create the anti-trans pogrom is a well-funded, highly coordinated endeavor with architects across the entire American right, as demonstrated by the fact that almost everything to demonize, oppress, and erase trans people that GOP fascists have accomplished since Trump took office, was laid out in advance in Project 2025. Cox even articulates what most trans people already know in their hearts but many cis liberals treating us like a political football don't seem to understand; that the path the fascists are adopting here may lead to the genocide of trans people. </p><p>The group then shifts focus to talk about the relationship between the anti-trans pogrom, white supremacist patriarchal Christian Nationalism, and a larger fascist project that ultimately serves to enrich and empower predatory capital. Cox notes that what folks who aren't on the firing lines call a "culture war" is really about civil rights for those who are. The gang points out that policing of trans people in public life, is really just an extension of an ideology that views women as property, and that opens up a pathway to gendered power dynamics and enforced policies that harm *all* women, not just trans women. As both Cox and Vigland note, the fact that dehumanizing anti-trans propaganda ultimately serves as the thin end of the wedge for this larger fascist project and touches on other forms of targeted oppression towards non-white people, women, migrants, and young people, means that taking about the anti-trans pogrom is not a distraction, but rather a vital step towards defending us all from fascism. </p><p>Finally Cox talks about the importance of folks who support trans people actually rehumanizing trans folks in the broader culture, why allowing the right to force the discussion into a lens of medicalization is an unworkable strategy, and why nobody who isn't trying to get trans people murdered should be "consorting with the likes of Charlie Kirk." In a moment that may come as a surprise to cis people, she points out that even conceding to the idea that trans identities, trans rights, or trans existence are topics to debate, is an unacceptable level of dehumanization and helps the fascist cause. As Cox poignantly notes, "there is no middle ground when someone wants you extinguished." </p><p>The Majority Report: Humanizing Trans People with Laverne Cox.</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auink7NlQr8" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=auink7NlQr</span><span class="invisible">8</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransBills" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransBills</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/ChristianNationalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ChristianNationalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Patriarchy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Patriarchy</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/WhiteSupremacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WhiteSupremacy</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Dehumanization" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Dehumanization</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Genocide" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Genocide</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPropaganda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPropaganda</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/MajorityReport" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MajorityReport</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/LaverneCox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LaverneCox</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/CivilRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CivilRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Project2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Project2025</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a></p>
AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>I'm probably preaching to the choir by posting this on the fediverse, but given the now abundantly clear primacy of transphobia as a permission gate and recruiting tool for the larger fascist project, and the fact that much of the liberal establishment is no longer pushing back on anti-trans propaganda (indeed, some highly influential folks are actually pushing the narrative that even tepid pushback against anti-trans propaganda is why Trump won the election), assuming everyone who isn't a fascist *already*knows this is a moral panic designed to push a trans-eliminationist agenda, seems like the least good option going forward. If the video I'm sharing with you here seems like old news to you, maybe consider sharing it with people in your life who aren't as politically engaged as you are because believe me, all the evidence is saying they do *not* already know this shit.</p><p>In this lengthy episode of Some More News, Cody and the crew talk about why trans people are real human beings just like everyone else, debunk the garbage "science" transphobes are using to push an anti-trans pogrom, point out that the social contagion theory of why trans people exist is obviously a moral panic, discuss how rare voluntary detransitioning really is, and how anti-trans activists are being given a massively outsized voice in this discussion given that it's literally the same handful of people, talk about how fascists are actively engendering anti-trans hate as a skeleton key for pushing a wider fascist political agenda, and even tackle why the anti-trans pogrom appears to be working as a strategy for the fascists to accomplish that goal. </p><p>It's a lot of information to take in, but Cody keeps the discussion fast-paced and entertaining; and obviously a mainstream media complex that has decided to abandon trans people to their fate at the hands of fascists who mean to erase us (both figuratively and literally, by murdering trans people) isn't going to tell you this stuff anymore.</p><p>Some More News: Trans People Are Real and Detransitioning Isn't That Common</p><p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlkBa7ooUN4" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=mlkBa7ooUN</span><span class="invisible">4</span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/TransRights" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TransRights</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/LGBTQ" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LGBTQ</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Fascism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fascism</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/AntiTransPogrom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AntiTransPogrom</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Propaganda" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Propaganda</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/MoralPanic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MoralPanic</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Transphobia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Transphobia</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Hatemongering" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Hatemongering</span></a> <a href="https://social.treehouse.systems/tags/Trump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Trump</span></a></p>
