🍄Inoculating the Odd in AuDHD<p>In Chrome and Firefox, you can have profiles, but they open to different windows. In Arc, you have have multiple profiles in the same window. Arc spaces can be assigned to different profiles, with isolated history, bookmarks, extensions, etc. Zen spaces are only for different profiles if you have a different window. Librewolf doesn't have spaces. Firefox tab containers let you separate things like cache to keep accounts separate, but is limited in isolating as many things as a profile would, an doesn't have a method of assigning credentials to multiple containers through a profile. </p><p>It looks like there is a ton of discussion about this : P </p><p><a href="https://github.com/zen-browser/desktop/discussions/2337" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/zen-browser/desktop</span><span class="invisible">/discussions/2337</span></a><br><a href="https://github.com/zen-browser/desktop/issues/1239" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/zen-browser/desktop</span><span class="invisible">/issues/1239</span></a><br><a href="https://github.com/zen-browser/desktop/discussions/818" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/zen-browser/desktop</span><span class="invisible">/discussions/818</span></a></p><p><a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/zenBrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>zenBrowser</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/firefox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>firefox</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/WebBrowsers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WebBrowsers</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/browsers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>browsers</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/openSource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>openSource</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/arc" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>arc</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/LibreWolf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>LibreWolf</span></a> <a href="https://post.lurk.org/tags/arcBrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>arcBrowser</span></a></p>
Heals :heart_nb:<p>I'm considering to switch from <a href="https://indiepocalypse.social/tags/ArcBrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ArcBrowser</span></a> / <a href="https://indiepocalypse.social/tags/ArSearch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ArSearch</span></a> on Desktop and Mobile to full on <a href="https://indiepocalypse.social/tags/OrionBrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OrionBrowser</span></a> on all platforms.</p><p>Orion is a lot less bloated simply by not relying on Chromium as it's foundation to begin with (it's 100% WebKit while supporting Chrome and Firefox extensions). </p><p>From a quick search over at <a href="https://orionfeedback.org" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">orionfeedback.org</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> it seems they have all the features I got to love in Arc Browser including vertical tabs, "little arc" and auto-close tabs and a lot more so that shouldn't be an issue either.</p><p>And honestly, zero-telemetry, first class ad-blocking and a <a href="https://indiepocalypse.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> version in the making? Almost sounds too good to be true :ac_amazed:</p>
Allen<p>Going to try to set my default search to perplexity.ai, courtesy of <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/arcbrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>arcbrowser</span></a>. It&#39;s indicative of the need for competition, or at least a Google alternative.</p>
geographile<p>Can you folks who have tried the <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/ArcBrowser" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ArcBrowser</span></a> do a compare and contrast with <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Firefox" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Firefox</span></a>?
