Lol, so true. Chris and I live a couple of blocks to the right of this picture.

Three adults and a young lad stand on Bernal Hill, taking in a view that covers 40% of the city. One of the adults, a man, is pointing and showing the others the important parts of the San Francisco landscape. In fact, he happens to be pointing in the general direction of Upper Market and the Castro, where there is a heavy concentration of my people, the gays.

For those with limited vision, the hill is a tall one with a few trees, a lot of grass, and a number of spots with red chert outcroppings and soil. In the background, one can see a faded view of the residential neighborhood called Noe Valley... and a bit of the hillside known as Diamond Heights, which is covered, per usual, in fog.

The view is fabulous from up there.

So excited to finally try Finjan Qahwa on the corner of Mission and Valencia. They are soft opening this week, so the hours are a little unpredictable, but their plan is to be open 7am-10pm most days (and open till 11pm on weekends). Really excited to have some more late night cafes open in the hood. #SanFrancisco #MissionDistrict #LaLengua #BernalHeights

The outside of a new coffee shop in Mission St. they have a bright green sign that says “Finjan Qahwa”. It’s night time but they are still open.

The donuts and sweets at Finjan. They have baklava, bee bites, kataivi, cookies, bagels, and more.

Two deserts from Finjan. One is a big slice of baklava, the other is a rose milk cake.

Some tables and I other interior angles of the cafe. The inside art is paintings of middle eastern landscapes and buildings and coffee cups with Arabic writing. I think the buildings depicted on the murals are Turkish.

A beautiful mosaic artwork in the front of someone's house on Bernal Heights. The artwork resembles a golden lion with wings. There's also mosiac artwork of a purple octopus on a blue background.

A shot from further away showing the front of the house and a little bit of the sidewalk. The house is in a dense San Francisco neighborhood. It has lots of greenery and plants in the front, but the most noticeable parts are all of the mosiacs scattered on the front walls of their garden and their main entrance. This includes the lion and octopus in the previous photo, plus their garage door, which has a painting of a friendly-looking eel, with sharp teeth. The house's number is 317.

A signature by the artist, written near the Mosiacs. The name says "Colette Crutcher 2002".

A surreal drawing on a concrete post the Bernal Steps. There is nice green plants and flowers in the background. The art is drawn in black wink with white highlights and doesn't look like it was put there in an "official" capacity. It shows an upright rabbit, with internal combustion motors and parts where it's torso would be. So it's part rabbit, part machine. The art is extremely detailed and very intricate.

Zoost tags. Spotted a #BernalHeights today. #SFGraffiti #graffiti

A blue USPS mail box with several graffiti tags on it. One tag in yellow paint says "Zoost". At least, I think that's what it says. The two "o"s in Zoost are drawn like eyeballs.

A street post on Cortland that was tagged by Zoost. They tagged it twice, in two different styles. One is messy, the other is easier to read. They both have pupils drawn in the "o"s to make them look like eyes.
