Nate Allen<p>A pretty good crowd for the Earth Day <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bike</span></a> Bus for grownups in <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Portland" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Portland</span></a>. My route was more straightforward than it looked on the map, and the commute seems doable for sure. Also Other Nate (he probably calls me the same) introduced himself <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://xoxo.zone/@voiceofunreason" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>voiceofunreason</span></a></span>. Good to meet other Portland Mastodon folks. <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeTooter</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a></p>

They do great work. I mean, just look at it! <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeTooter</span></a></p>
Nate Allen<p>This is the last picture of my new <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> before I drive down to <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Eugene" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Eugene</span></a> to pick it up next Thursday! <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeTooter</span></a></p>
Nate Allen<p>Today's update on my <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> baby, she's painted and being aligned in prep for assembly it seems. The component made out of sheet is the motor mount for the <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Bosch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bosch</span></a> inline drive. <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/AllDay" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AllDay</span></a></p>
Nate Allen<p>If you ask politely, it seems that <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> will send you pictures of your new baby being born. I believe the two parts of the folding frame are in the picture below. <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/bike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>bike</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/biketooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>biketooter</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Eugene" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Eugene</span></a> <a href="https://pdx.social/tags/Oregon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Oregon</span></a></p>

😀🚲<p>What's it like climbing S Corbett with a mostly-charged battery and just me on <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/tandem" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>tandem</span></a> <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/eBikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eBikes</span></a> project <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/BikeTooter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BikeTooter</span></a>? The <a href="https://urbanists.social/tags/GrinMAC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GrinMAC</span></a> hub motor is a standard/slow wind in a 20in wheel (top speed ~22mph) and the battery is 52V 14.5Ah, load is probably ~1200W. I was in the middle ring of the 3x8 gearing.</p>

Kevin Dalley<p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> is no longer a dependable company.<br />My Tikit failed in July, 2023, 9 years into a 10 year warranty.<br />Tikit is discontinued.<br />While Bike Friday has promised a a replacement with a Pakit, they fail to return email, and I cannot finalize the replacement. They answer only after leaving a message with the answering service.<br />This is not the company I have known for 15 years.</p>
Bicycling Monterey 💚🌎🌍🌏<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.wxcafe.net/@JodieWren" class="u-url mention">@<span>JodieWren</span></a></span> We&#39;ve never owned or tried out a <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/FoldingBike" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FoldingBike</span></a>. But a <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Monterey" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Monterey</span></a> Peninsula couple with folding <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/bikes" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>bikes</span></a> told me they had them topped with high-visibility flags. Bobbie said a high priority on their packing lists when they pack for any trip: folding bikes. NorCal Paul 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇦<p>For <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/BikeFriday" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BikeFriday</span></a> , (on Saturday) here&#39;s my ride. It&#39;s a Haibike Enduro, <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/ebike" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ebike</span></a> It&#39;s my 3rd ebike. The 1st two were 1000W, fat tires, with active suspensions. Great fun on easy terrain, but I needed A LOT more suspension!!! And this HaiBike has what *I* need. (If you need to land 40ft. jumps, you&#39;ll need more.) <br />The Haibike sacrifices a throttle and 30MPH top speeds, for lighter weight, long travel suspension and 29&quot; wheels. It&#39;s pedal-assist only, and I&#39;m just fine with that. Great 🇩🇪 bike!</p>
