Trying to find reviews of the Haluzak Horizon (because I'm consigning two this weekend). It's not just Google's search that sucks.

I had to follow a lot of breadcrumbs to find what I was looking for.

One bummer of doing this is I REALLY don't want to part with my custom Haluzak Horizon, dammit. I'll be moving someplace I can't pick one up cheaply or at all if I become able to ride one again.

With a limited schedule and no errands to run, I decided to ride my #bicycle out to Cascade Lake to see if any migratory waterfowl have arrived. Mission accomplished. There were a couple hundred American Coots, a pair of Common Loons and a half dozen Northern Shovelers.

After searching around eBay for awhile for a smaller rolling briefcase, I decided to actually go downstairs and check, and while my Travelpro FlightCrew 5 Horizontal Rolling Overnighter is rather too large for everyday use, it actually does fit easily into my #bicycle's rear milk crate (6 US gallon size), so for now, I will continue to use that one for local meetings where I need to carry reference materials, until I find a slightly smaller one that is easier to manage.

Re: Wheels: What should consider when buying/scavenging/building a wheel for a mountain bike? (ideally I will use salvage level stuff which I can fix... more for the experience. i.e. if I see a 26 inch wheel with no spokes and hub, should I try to build a wheel, etc.?)

Sodium-Ion batteries are cheaper, more environmentally friendly, safer, and have longer lifespans than Li-ion. Materials to make them are more plentiful - not just sodium, but other components as well.

Downside is that they have ~60% the energy density. (Still well over 4x that of Lead-Acid)

Have really been missing my end of Friday, let go of the work week rides. Had some fun nasty driver interactions at the start and end of this ride, but the middle bit on the greenway was great.
