Advancing My Commitment to Community and Animals 
As an EMT-B, I strive to grow my skills and serve my community in meaningful ways. I’m proud to have recently completed the FEMA course on disaster animal response, a key step toward joining the Northeast Massachusetts Disaster Animal Response Team (DART)
Before embarking on a #humanitarian volunteer trip to #Ukraine, I sent a package of Cat 7 tourniquets from the United States, along with a U.S. flag 
, knowing they could save lives and send a message of solidarity. Recently, I received news that the package has reached its destination and is now on its way to the heroes on the frontline.

#CPR and Stop the Bleed Training for the Community / Para la Comunidad
Last night marked my second initiative, aimed at addressing the disparity in bystander CPR rates within Black and Latino communities in Boston, by connecting them with the #Boston EMS #Community Initiative team.
Thanks to the collaboration of La Sala, Tag Associates, and Boston EMS, vital CPR and Stop the Bleed training is now accessible in Nubian Square, Roxbury.

Empowering our community with life-saving skills! A free Hands-Only CPR & Stop the Bleed training was offered in both English and Spanish at La Sala, led by Lt. Sanchez and Capt. Chu.
Inspired by my EMT-B recertification, I'm committed to bridging the gap in bystander CPR rates in underserved communities by connecting them with the incredible Boston EMS Community Initiative team.

Much like training to improve in sports, volunteering is a practice that shapes not only the lives of those we help but also ourselves. Becoming a humanitarian is a journey, and I promise it will reward you with new insights, connections, and a profound sense of purpose.
Day 6 in Kyiv. A beautiful spring day.
Today I will volunteer at Kitty Perchersk (it’s my third visit) to support my Ukrainian friends. They provide humanitarian and psychological aid, deliver groceries, and prepare camouflage nets for the heroes on the frontlines.
Arrived in Poland! 
My next stop is Lviv via ground transport 
It’s about an 8 hour + trip. Looking forward to standing alongside local Ukrainian volunteers and showing solidarity with Ukraine. The Polish people have been incredibly welcoming and supportive.
