Toward a Nonbinary Model of Gender/Sex Traits
Renata Ziemińska (2022) Hypatia

"The nonbinary category ... is a third category of traits, not of people. Under the nonbinary model, the basic gender concepts do not disappear. S is a woman if S is a human being with enough female traits, and the trait of having self-determined female gender identity is sufficient but not necessary."

Just another depraved, entitled young man. Nothing special, nothing unique, a problem like a rat infestation (with apologies to Rats, who have taken the challenge of living on a Human planet and run with it.)

Until we call out the Misogyny in our society, and not attack Trans Women as 'pretend Feminism' this country will keep suffering tragedies like this.

Telling Feminist Stories in an Affective Atmosphere of Anti-Genderism: Swedish Gender Scholars Reflect Upon Their Position
Carbin et al., 2024 Nordic J Feminist and Gender Res

"the knowledge production of gender studies as such can be reconfigured as a site for resistance, for detecting openings and creating possible pathways into the future that extend beyond the hegemonic neoliberal, authoritarian one."

“Civilized Man says: I am Self, I am Master, all the rest is other—outside, below, underneath, subservient. I own, I use, I explore, I exploit, I control. What I do is what matters. What I want is what matter is for. I am that I am, and the rest is women and wilderness, to be used as I see fit.”

This week's Feminist Lecture Program lecture was about relationship anarchy. The lecturer argued against a capitalist romance-centric society that treats affection as a scarce resource and which encourages the creation of relationship hierarchies.

As someone who has often been frustrated by both phenomena (as well as the entertainment culture that feeds off of and perpetuates them), I found the talk, and the presentation of alternatives, refreshing.

If you are a feminist and are not a vegan, you are ignoring the exploitation of female nonhumans and the commodification of their reproductive processes, as well as the destruction of their relationship with their babies;
If you are an environmentalist and not a vegan, you are ignoring the undeniable fact that animal agriculture is an ecological disaster;
If you embrace nonviolence but are not a vegan, then words of nonviolence come out of your mouth as the products of torture and death go into it;
If you claim to love animals but you are eating them or products made from them, or otherwise consuming them, you see loving as consistent with harming that which you claim to love.
Stop trying to make excuses. There are no good ones to make. Go vegan.
- Gary L. Francione

One of the clearest signs that mainstream #feminism is just about making us all fit into the #patriarchy is seen in many feminist parenting books.

They typically dismiss attachment parenting, chestfeeding, and co-sleeping as oppressive towards women/mothers. Instead of de-gendering intensive nurture, they essentially chuck the nurture out with the bathwater.

Feminists could be imagining and creating societal structures that support deep care work shared by all genders. But most aren't.
