Lots of people have been without power for most of today here. My dad called to tell me his power was out too. I asked him if he needed anything.
He said, “My phone died, but I fixed it.”
“Umm, you fixed it?”
“Yup, I pulled a car battery & hooked it up to charge my phone.”
That’s my dad for ya. Power’s out. He’s an electrical engineer’s EE. Man doesn’t need no stinkin backup power when he can gonzo wire a spare car battery he has just LYING AROUND THE HOUSE.

I was startled awake at 2:25am this morning. Sounded like the roof was about to come off! So much wind and rain.
Other than one large tree branch on the ground, we just had a huge umbrella from our neighbor's yard make it's way to our backyard.
No trees down in the neighborhood is a win imo

Finally got stung by the power outage pest in Campbell. Looks like it's a major one too.
I'm surprised we got hit just now. The current storm doesn't seem that bad.
