My Actual BrainI see a lot of books/tutorials about mysql. Can I use those to understand mariadb? It seems that I can, it also seems that mariadb is preferred to mysql.If anyone has any good sources to learn more about databases, I would love to hear them. And she'll be none the wiser. 😄 Glad I've become a bit of a neo-Luddite and reduced the number of home IP devices over the years from ~20+ down to about 5. I've been through 3-4 aborted Enterprise IPv6 migrations in the last 25 years. RachelSo looking at my home networking, I've got three main options 1. Keep opnsense as the router, possibly even keep the switch but add a 2.5gb switch 2. Go crawling back to unifi (less likely, $$$) 3. JenkinsFinally got a new media server set up for my <a href="https://goto.sour.red/tags/homelab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#homelab</a> after my old Lenovo mini pc bit the dust. It’s a tiny little thing with a N100 CPU and 16GB of memory, but I think it should serve for running Plex, sonarr, radarr, and maybe a <a href="https://goto.sour.red/tags/selfhosted" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#selfhosted</a> app or two all in docker containers. Not bad considering I got it for $120.

MikaI'm testing out <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Jellyfin" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Jellyfin</a> as a possible alternative to <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Plex" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Plex</a> in my <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/homelab" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#homelab</a>, so far so good, but I'm kinda puzzled why the subs on my media seem kinda "broken"? As in, they're all perfectly fine when played from my Plex server, but when playing them on Jellyfin (through the Web UI), they're not at all synced to the actual video/audio. What's up with that?
