@mappingsupport thanks for the real time observations, even if it's bad news. I love #lassen and it has been through so much, I would hate to see it burned again. The #parkfire has already destroyed so much.

One week ago today I was pulling up stakes at our campsite in what today is solidly inside the evacuation zone for the #ParkFire south of #Lassen. Lucky to have dodged that terrifying thing, and I can only imagine what so many others are having to deal with to stay safe now.

We did a morning hike in Lassen in an area that was burned just two years ago.

I have a real soft spot for #lassen national park. It's had a rough time the last few years though - 60% burned down by the Dixie fire and now the Park fire is getting close. Selfishly going to wreck camping plans, but just hoping they get the #parkfire out quickly and save as much as possible. Oh and we need to get rid of a few Gigtonnes of CO2 quickly from atmosphere..

Closed doors and a windows update that stalled the world. Who needs windows in a world without walls ;-)
