Just Jim<p>Looking for something to read? Here's an overview of recently passed author Jules Feiffer and his books on LibraryThing.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/julesfeiffer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>julesfeiffer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/books" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>books</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/librarything" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>librarything</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.librarything.com/author/feifferjules" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">librarything.com/author/feiffe</span><span class="invisible">rjules</span></a></p>
Sun Gallery<p>If you&#39;re on LibraryThing, we&#39;re on there too. We&#39;re cataloging our collection of books. Our goal is to open our collection as a small, local lending library. </p><p>Check us out at: <a href="https://www.librarything.com/catalog/SunGallery" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">librarything.com/catalog/SunGa</span><span class="invisible">llery</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/librarything" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>librarything</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/SunGallery" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SunGallery</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Hayward" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Hayward</span></a></p>
Michael Rawdon<p>Given the current brouhaha over <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/GoodReads" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>GoodReads</span></a>, and that it seems generally a good idea to disconnect from <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Amazon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Amazon</span></a> where convenient, what do people like as alternatives?</p><p>I have a <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/LibraryThing" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LibraryThing</span></a> account, but it seems they haven’t really evolved much in the decade since I used them. Still has a very mid-2000s feel.</p><p>The <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/StoryGraph" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>StoryGraph</span></a> looks interesting.</p><p>Since I’m already on Mastodon as my primary social network, maybe <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Bookwyrm" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Bookwyrm</span></a>?</p>
Philip Weiss (Phil in SF)<p>Looks like LibraryThing has found and implemented an actual use case for AI that doesn&#39;t bother me. They use it for fuzzy searches for books.</p><p><a href="https://www.librarything.com/search.php?searchtype=ai" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">librarything.com/search.php?se</span><span class="invisible">archtype=ai</span></a></p><p><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/LLM" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LLM</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/ChatGPT" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ChatGPT</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/LibraryThing" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LibraryThing</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Books" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Books</span></a></p>

But I&#39;m always looking for the best ways to track my bookiness... Interested to look into CAWPILE with or without the extra P.</p>

It&#39;s pretty cool - grab the phone app for quick ISBN bar code entry.</p>
RuTemple<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://sfba.social/@annaraven" class="u-url mention">@<span>annaraven</span></a></span> Mmostly I&#39;ve used Goodreads as a place to record books i&#39;ve read, whether or not I own a copy, and that functionality kind of got trashed for me when they were bought by that big bookseller... Kind of like how 43Things got trashed by demanding that I provide monetizing content for them in the form of reviews of my lists that had once been for me. <br />The <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Bookwyrm" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Bookwyrm</span></a> looks interesting in that regard.<br /><a href="https://sfba.social/tags/LibraryThing" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LibraryThing</span></a> is where I keep the catalog of books I actually own.</p>
