When he came to visit me in SF last month, we played a game of “rejection therapy” and the goal was to ask a stranger for a favor that would immediately be rejected-- as exposure for his fears of social rejection. He decided to gather all his courage and ask a stranger to “pick him up and hold him like a little princess.” To his surprise everyone he asked said yes, and I have the awkward videos to prove it. This overwhelming generosity of SF strangers has changed his life.”This is the San Francisco we made this show about.
