My kid wanted to know who Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) is, so we watched the first Fantastic 4 movie. We’re watching the part where they’re having a public fight between Johnny and The Thing in front of a huge crowd and I was wondering why no one was filming the thing with their phones. Complete nerd post, but a thoughtful one: it occurred to me that my very first regular #Marvel comic was The Complete Fantastic Four, a Marvel UK publication that reprinted both classic and fairly recent FF strips in black and white. Those early FF strips fascinated me and still do, appearing as they do as something from a very different era. And yet, the time in years between when they were first published and I first read them was less than the time that #doctorwho has been back on our screens
