voidampersand
Just saw #Tosca at #OperaSanJose. Great production and singing all around. Kidon Choi was magnificently malevolent as Scarpia. There are two more performances. Don't miss it. It made me wonder though, why are there so many operas about lovers being oppressed by corrupt right-wing authoritarians? It seems like that was a thing in the 19th century. And here we are in the 21st century and it's still going on.
