Rodelinda<p>TFW you get to hang out in the donors lounge because you filled out a survey and end up meeting the young lady who sang Barbarina in Marriage of Figaro last season. <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/opera" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>opera</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/OperaSanJose" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>OperaSanJose</span></a> <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/IreneDalisLounge" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>IreneDalisLounge</span></a></p>
voidampersand<p>Just saw <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/Tosca" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Tosca</span></a> at <a href="https://sfba.social/tags/OperaSanJose" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>OperaSanJose</span></a>. Great production and singing all around. Kidon Choi was magnificently malevolent as Scarpia. There are two more performances. Don&#39;t miss it. It made me wonder though, why are there so many operas about lovers being oppressed by corrupt right-wing authoritarians? It seems like that was a thing in the 19th century. And here we are in the 21st century and it&#39;s still going on.</p>
