When I read stories like this that are feeding demand for recall of our current DA, whose (incumbent) opponent in the last was corrupt, I wonder whether we think of imprisonment more as or punishment. It certainly not so that they can learn to be better people. And I wonder whether getting deeper into the mind at the who make deals would help, if there were more .

In this case, it says pleas were accepted to avoid a negative outcome in a case that was moving "glacially." Would the people who expected a certain label on the or a certain number of years prefer to risk nothing all? I don't understand all of the around it.
