Another one of my favorite spring flowers, which is also a bluish purple color. #VirginiaBluebells

As a child I loved sipping the nectar from them. It felt so magical to eat the same thing bees eat… although I guess, honey is the same. Even so it’s much more magical to sip nectar from a flower, then to eat a spoonful of honey though I do really appreciate the work of all the bees that made that honey.

These are just the buds before they open and I think if you tried to suck the nectar out, they probably wouldn’t even have any yet. Maybe they do I don’t know.

Shady tulips.

A photo showing a tulip bed before they are in full sun. There is a mix of newly open tulips and ones past their prime that haven't been removed. There are yellow ones on the left, some orange next to them, some orange and yellow ones in the lower right with red ones beyond them, and white and pink ones in the distance. I don't know why but the magnolias around here seem to struggling this year.
