Ask any unhoused person, or Black person, or student protester, or Leftist in the US if the state ever protected them and the answer will be: no. In reality, the state is essentially an up jumped mafia, extracting protection money from people over which it rules and whom it exploits. It will jealously guard those people from rivals, in the same way a farmer will protect a prize hog, destined for the butcher, from wolves. But it does so at our expense, through our lives and labor, and will happily send us to kill and die to further its agenda. The state is not a superhero. It is not even a neutral tool that we can use to protect ourselves.

In an email to #USAID staff, Jeremy Lewin, a #DOGE ofcl who took over running the day-to-day ops at USAID from Pete Marocco on March 20, said the RIFs would go into effect either on July 1 or Sept 2.

This comes as the #Trump admin wraps up the dismantling of the 64-year-old USAID, having terminated some 5,200 contracts, & moves forward with its plan to shift the remaining portion of its work to the #State Dept.
