Douglas<p>I'm thinking more about <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ToolStorage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ToolStorage</span></a> today. I've got a lot of tools that I like to take with me when 4x4ing in my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Tacoma" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tacoma</span></a>. In the past I used tool rolls but they kinda suck for day-to-day use. There's a sale at <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HarborFreight" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HarborFreight</span></a> on a rolling tool cart meant for the garage but then I wouldn't have my tools with me in the truck.</p><p>The PackOut-style systems are interesting but how do I actually hold tools in them without them being a jumbled mess? And so they don't rattle constantly?</p>

I have a lot of tools that I want to take with me when I go 4x4ing with my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Toyota" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Toyota</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Tacoma" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tacoma</span></a> and the tool rolls and totes I've been using aren't cutting it anymore.</p><p>The <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/milwaukeePackout" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>milwaukeePackout</span></a> is alluring but $$$. The <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HarborFreigth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HarborFreigth</span></a> Bauer modular tool storage system is interesting but doesn't have many options.</p><p>There's gotta be an inexpensive and good solution to this problem.</p>
Douglas<p>It's incredibly frustrating that the one company that 3D prints a part I need for my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Toyota" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Toyota</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Tacoma" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Tacoma</span></a> has not restocked the part in over a year. It's a complicated enough geometry that I'm not going to be able to recreate it myself and they won't sell me the STL file so I can get someone else to print it.
