It's National Submarine Day! Today commemorates the acceptance of the USS Holland, a submarine designed by John Philip Holland and the first capable of running submerged for an extended period, by the US Navy back in 1900.

Monterey County NOWSix veterans who died alone are interred with full military honors at the Central Coast Veterans Cemetery.On March 25, six veterans were laid to rest with full military honors at the Central Coast Veterans Cemetery. The ceremony highlighted the stories of these men who died alone, some homeless, yet were honored for their service and sacrifices.
