I'm pondering product cards and WCAG 2.2 criteria 1.4.1 (use of colour).

In this example, which is quite common, there is a product (a t-shirt) and in the card 3 colour variations are indicated by small circular images.

There is no text describing those colours.

Hi guys, I'm a totally #Blind woman interested in learning French to start with. In coming back to #Duolingo, I found that the first thing you have to do right off the bat is "choose the correct image". You can choose based on the audio you are hearing, absolutely, but you have no way of actually knowing what the so-called correct image actually is, making it pretty much impossible from an accessibility standpoint to know what words are being introduced and/or what they mean in English. It’s been a while — hard to find time to work on the theme, but here’s a quick update:
Blog cards are done, archive and page templates mostly finished.
Homepage template still needs a redesign.
Started on the single post template (that one is messy).

Some links lead to different HTML templates.
Will be turned into a full PHP-based WordPress theme.

I understand Kevin Powell referenced my 2020 post “Alternative Text for CSS Generated Content” in his video on what’s new with CSS and that he deferred to my testing results. My December 2024 update is the most recent:

TL;DR: Use `<img>` for icons & similar, but for non-interactive decorative contexts that don’t need auto-translation, then alternative text on CSS generated content can get the job done.

I’m a heavy user of the Reduce white point option in iOS. Is there a way to set the percentage through Shortcuts? It’s possible to toggle it off and on, but I would like to set different scenarios.
