Rooktallon<p>Some interesting <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AI</span></a> news for those who use screenreaders. There's this thing called Viewpoint which basically takes an image of your screen with Gemini and presents the links and buttons so you can click on them. Currently, it only works with links and buttons so there's limited functionality. I ran a test. I tried running Orca slicer through Viewpoint and surprisingly, it works. <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/Orkaslicer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Orkaslicer</span></a> is a notoriously inaccessible and difficult program to use and while this is definitely a start to a workaround, it does not in any way make accessibility less of a top priority that I hope those who work on it will find rather important. I just thought that AI might be the solution and it seems that it works surprisingly well. I'll see if anything changes. <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/3dprinting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>3dprinting</span></a> <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/accessibility" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>accessibility</span></a> <a href="https://caneandable.social/tags/blind" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blind</span></a></p>
