It's okay to tell #stories about yourself from when you were younger with the details swapped to align with your #gender. Could be anything gendered, not just limited to name and #pronouns. It's not lying, it's true in that it's accurately representing your gender. Personally, this is the only way I'm okay with anyone telling (or even remembering, really) stories from my #childhood.

Got reacquainted with Pippi Longstocking for the first time in almost 20 years.
That series is turning 80, and is now translated into 80 languages.

Wild to think that the stories we remember fondly as kids, are always there to go back to as adults, right there, right under the surface.

10-12 y old kids cycling 25kms on their own to get to the beach.

Sounds crazy today, but that's what we did 45 years ago. In summer we would jump on the bike in the morning bringing nothing but a towel and a bottle of water.

Those 25 km was a long way, but doable. Small back roads with very little traffic, through small towns and no big hills.

I drove the same trip today - in car though - but I could suddenly remember that feeling of total freedom.
