These are my April hopefuls!

I started Yellowface last week but have not finished it. I like Kuang's writing style, and I can see why this book is hyped up.

I've finished the Caraval series and can not wait to dive into OUABH. Jacks is one of the characters that made the Caraval series more interesting, and I can't wait to read more about him.

I can not remember where I got the recommendation for Just Some Stupid Love Story. But after re-reading the summary, I can't wait to see what's in store for me.

#QOTD: Have you ever had an embarrassing flight story? Because Noelle Adams' upcoming book In Flight just unlocked a core memory I tried to bury.

A few years ago, I reached a new level of humiliation. After a sleepless weekend trip with my college friends, I fully passed out mid-flight… draped over a stranger like a personal weighted blanket. 🫣 My friend said she kept yanking me off him, but like a cursed slinky, I just kept flopping right back. 😭💀 She eventually gave up and let me marinate in the shame I fully deserved. When I woke up, I was greeted with a flood of texts:

"WAKE THE HELL UP!"
"YOU’RE LITERALLY OVER HIM!"
"I’M SO EMBARRASSED FOR YOU!"
"I TRIED!"

To the kind stranger who let me use him as an in-flight pillow: I’m still cringing, and I honestly apologize. 🤧

Thankfully, that’s not what happened in this book.

For two months, River has been flying from Savannah to Boston every weekend to help with her sister’s wedding. Unfortunately, she’s stuck next to Isaac, the same grumpy guy who’s also on a weekly commute home. Neither of them is willing to switch seats, and the silent tension between them makes every flight unbearable. But as the weekends go by, she starts noticing the cracks in his cold exterior… and maybe this forced proximity isn’t as terrible as she thought.

Noelle Adams has always been my go-to for quick palate cleansers between heavier reads, and In Flight delivered exactly that. A light, fast-paced novella with just the right amount of tension and subtle angst. Perfect when you need something fun and easy!

✨ Read this if you love:
✈️ Forced Proximity
✈️ Grumpy x Sunshine
✈️ Enemies to Lovers
✈️ Slow Burn
✈️ Witty Banter
✈️ Subtle Angst

The paperback is LIVE, and the ebook drops on the 28th! Thanks to the author and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for the early access!

I am finally reading a book from my hopefuls list. After finishing Seven Days in June, I got into a mini reading slump. I tried to read other books that were high in my TBR and this is the one that kept me intrigued.

When I first heard of this book, it was made out to be an emotional romance book. But now that I’ve read the description, I can see that it has a bit of a thriller aspect to it. I cannot wait to see how this book turns out.

- Dec 2. From all your work, who's your favourite character?

Wow! It almost seems unfair to ask.

I guess it would have to be the very Welsh Gareth Rhys Llewellyn, the love interest in "Rose in Bloom." He takes his promises seriously.

11/18. What have you written most different from your usual work?

During the pandemic, I really struggled creatively. Then, two characters showed up while, oddly enough, I was playing an on-line game where you used points to furnish an English country cottage. I decided to write their story just for fun, and it turned into something i was rather proud of by the time it was done. I adored Rose and Gareth, so I shared the story with a friend, who encouraged me to put it out into the world.

It was/is my first-ever novella (I usually do historicals) and has garnered several awards.

23. What's your strangest source of writing inspiration?

I was playing a game where you designed an English country cottage (interior and exterior) and a London townhouse interior. When I finally had both where I wanted them, I began to imagine who lived in what dwelling ... and how the two might meet.

This thought process eventually resulted in "Rose in Bloom," a multiple
