OMG speaking of LLMs.

I had an Inception type dream last night where I left the dream and entered another dream generated by an LLM.

Everyone was in line going to this new AI dream generator, like a movie theater. One by one we entered a small prep-room where a screen showed my brain with a pink overlay shape, then someone ran their hand over the back of my head and I felt suddenly comforted, but vacuous and empty. Then we entered the auditorium with hundreds of seats. Everyone sat down and entered the dream.

But you know, an uncanny dream. Like, not wrong in the way dreams should be, but more wrong. Wrong-wrong. It started normal but eventually I noticed text distorted, faces with too many eyes or holes, more arms. I wandered in that world for awhile, through some kind of mall-type setting, and as I slowly began to notice the wrong-wrong things, so did the rest of the audience.

As the feeling of discomfort increased, we all woke up and stumbled out of our seats, bewildered, upset, confused.

I felt like I'd been changed in some way but also that I had no way of knowing. I wondered if I'd really left the dream, and if I'd ever know.
