Lisa Kalayji<p>Lol I got a cheap Android to house the apps that my employer forces me to use (I'm not putting them on my real phone, obviously), and after powering on the device for the first time and spending like an hour stripping all the permissions, Google won't let me turn it off without signing into a Google account. The power button just brings up a sign-in screen - you can back out of it, but there's no way to turn the phone off.</p><p>Interacting with Google makes me feel the same way interacting with abusive family members and partners has.
