Sarah SammisI live in a haunted house. It's a recentish built home (1962) but one of the original owners died in the home. That's one ghost. The other is my old calico cat as we have her ashes in a wooden box. Usually the human ghost stays to the front of the house... specifically the kitchen. Tonight though one of them slammed the toilet lid down. It's one of those quiet, slow closing ones, so for it to slam like that, it needs some force. The window wasn't open. Sarah SammisMy house has two ghosts. One is the woman who lived here before we did. The other is our calico cat whose ghost came with us (as we have her ashes in a wooden box). Caligula is in a mood tonight. Tonight in my bedroom I found the chewed upon rings that go over a six pack of cans. Here's the thing, we haven't bought six packs like that in probably a decade, opting instead of boxes where the cans are loose inside. The mangled rings were left right before my bed, right where Caligula used to leave gifts (including bits of plastic). Also, things in the bathroom and on my bed have fallen off with me watching (but not being near enough to touch them). You know how cats will knock things off of counters. Caligula was a champion at that. AbjectWhile this abandoned house looks like Minas Morgul, illuminated by eerie corpse-light, it is in fact just lit up by a traffic light some ways down the road.My girlfriend invited me to go scavenge a board or two from the old barn that was torn down yesterday - momentos of what had become a comfortable sight and friend. That old barn was a good and loyal subject in front of the camera.
