I don't use my #Apple account.. ever. I've only used it to download the odd exclusive thing from #iTunes. So I had forgot where I put my Apple ID #password and in futzing around before I remembered, I locked my account.
I don't have my #recoverykey

I just spent 45 minutes via chat for them to say "You can't recover this account without the recovery key"... which they could have answered in 45 _seconds_ if they just read my original question.

#NeoFinder 8.9 for #macOS is now able to #catalog WMA #audio files for you, including the embedded ID3 tags, lyrics, and cover art!

And of course, NeoFinder already also reads MP3, AAC, m4a, AIFF, WAVE, BWF, FLAC, CAF, OGG, AMR and even Sony DSF and SDS files. So you can keep control over your entire #music collection.

I'm a #Mac user since System 7. I loved the second Steve Jobs era, the software was great, it felt like it was made especially for me. But since Tim Cook took over it's getting worse and worse.Quality wise but also in the way it's supposed to work.

It's long overdue that I switch, so I finally start to move away from Apple software towards free software (free as in freedom).

The last days I migrated my #iTunes/Music.app library to #Navidrome, and I'm loving it.

Next is the Notes.app and the Calendar.app and after that I will have a look in the different flavors of #Linux Distros, the window managers and what not.

Only downside I see is the hardware, currently Apple hardware is really great, and I don't like the idea of using a loud x86 heater. And I'm not sure if Ashashi is good enough as a daily driver already.
