Perfect day for a ride today! The woods are in peak green right now. I got a later start than I wanted, so I just went back to Calero and I did better this time than last. I climbed up to the Cottle Rest Site for a good hard climb to help build my strength back after the winter.

7h35 au sommet du Salbert. Lièvres et biches se baladent. Les pics épeiches dialoguent par salves de coups en question-réponse sur un décor de Vosges en éveil. Et pour finir, une piste enduro (la rouge qui part du sommet). J'avais la patate ce matin. #momentvelo #mtb #vtt #enduro

Fairly tiring 36 mile MTB ride to the mendips and back. I see it only took two winters for the trail off Black Down which they destroyed by converting it to a gravel track in the name of accessibility to return to a set of narrow ruts with technical edges. Whoever designs these things should know that drainage is the key to roads working.

Emergency retreat on the approach as a herd of cows blocked the track I was using. The retreat was the adjacent farm – which turned out to be where they were heading. Cue extra actions such as throwing a my bike over the gate and jumping over afterwards. The farmer seemed to find it funny.

Moin,
heute gab's es eine "Berg"-Tour, nun ja, was man im platten #SchleswigHolstein darunter versteht.
Immerhin 140 Meter hoch und wieder runter laut Komoot.
Das liegt wohl daran, daß ich die Tour so schlau geplant hatte, daß ich dann den Berg zweimal hoch bin, Frau gönnt sich ja sonst nix 😉
Wie auch immer, ein #SonntagsAusflug-#MikroAbenter bei sonnigem, aber ziemlich kalten Wetter.
Wer ganz genau hinschaut, sieht auch die beiden #Singschwäne.

Wärmer bräuchte es wegen mir gar nicht werden. Perfekte Mischung aus angenehmer Wärme und einer Prise angenehmer Kühle.
