Flowerpalooza in my hood part 4. It's not often that a Pacific Northwest native plant is also a showy, mainstream garden favorite but flowering currant (Ribes sanguineum) is actually both. There are many cultivars. I have one called 'Edward VII' which has white blooms instead of the standard pink, and I have to say, I prefer the pink.
