#Tyson has been reporting increasing #profits while getting millions in government awards ($115.3M in Q4 2024 according to USAspending.gov) and fixing both prices and wages for their workers to be as low as possible.

State of #California collected $1.33 million via towed #CarAuctions in 2023. This was after tow yards raked out their $500 towing fees, $2500 a month storage bill$ etc before the #auctions.

Few towed car owners know they could've received excess fund$ from the sales of their cars that oft eventually go to #CHP in arcane schema when no owner inquires...

#FOIA requests were refused to #CalMatters when they inquired about numbers and proceeds, as the cities, state and counties involved apptly prefer the #profits of the arcane confiscation process be confusing to track and obfuscated from public view...

Long Beach’s towing and lien sales superintendent, Robert Givens, said the city averages about 200 auction sales each month. A basic tow costs $417, according to the city website. The daily storage fee is $78. After a month, a basic tow, including fees and storage, can cost more than $2,500.
