The Civil Rights Department (formerly DFEH) published last year a proposal for modifications to their Employment Regulations re: Automated-Decision Systems ()The draft makes it unlawful to use standards, tests, , or other employment selection criteria that unfairly screens out applicants from groups.

Formal rule-making has not started yet but we may see the CRD move forward the modifications during 2023.
