Not a real heavy producer, this last winter system, for quite a while. Only 10cm our place, not even half that in Lakefork Canyon behind town. Was barely able to ski the road 2100-2250m then back. Had to take skis off twice thin spots. But -3C w lite up-canyon breeze felt great in strong sun. Sheltered parts had 20cm + base still 👍. So. Much. the Lake Fork of Rock Creek is much more open 2100-2250m
love it when they can get going, doing their tussling while speeding downhill
very much in favor of -3C but wish there had been more powder in here.

loved these sheltered areas, great glide and fun.
only 10cm our place this morning. better than nada.
the rocks 3000-3200m on the Beartooth Plateau show the lite new powder.

The last 10 days were wild:

- skied for ~36 hours across 7 days
- taught a Spanish woman how to ski
- tried climbing on overhanging glacier ice
- spoken to a girl with an impressive FIS rating
- almost accidentally visited mountain rescuers at Tuyuk-Su camp, at night with that Spanish woman
- helped a little French girl on a beginner slope while practising French
- hired an instructor for the first time in 14 years, and learned the carving technique
- had the first notable ski collision in 14 years of skiing, at my fault but it's mostly fine
- talked to many cool competitive skiers and trainers at the hostel
- bought lots of cool gear for myself and teammates at Decathlon's Nowruz -20% sale
- ate very little because restaurants are only open when slopes are open
