And a bunch of tramping pictures from January 2023's Around the Mountain Circuit. Which appears to currently not be circumnavigable, alas. Good that we got to do it while it was open; geology seems to strike pretty often. #Tramping #NZ

Bell's Falls on day 2 of the AMC. A waterfall is surrounded by rocks and then native bush, falling onto a rocky streambed which occupies the foreground of the picture.
A river has carved out its bed and left behind muddy cliffs with hoodoo-like structures. Lots of trees are above the cliffs (for now).
Chiaroscuro on the flanks of Taranaki maunga, with a small cloud on the upper left corner, and clouds partially covering the green and grey slopes.
A noticeably white cloud through the middle of the image, kind of curvy, with a much darker grey cloud below it. The farmland beyond the park is visible below, as well as the ocean out there.
