Watching first #Tron movie and the special effects are interesting. Reminds me of #DoctorWho special effects from the 5th Doctor and also that awesome #StarWars video game from the 80s...the one where you'd sit down in it and you hear Obi-wan say "use the force, Luke" and you hear Han Solo say "don't get cocky, kid." I spent so much money on that game. One day, I hope to own one. 🙏

Bros filing for ETFs to trade the exact same market #JustinSun was indicted by the #SEC for manipulating last year.

#TRX is the “gas” on Justin Sun’s #Tron blockchain, which exists primarily to allow the movement of #Tether's #USDT token on a blockchain that is less scrutinized than ethereum. Roughly half of Tether’s ~$140 billion market cap lives on Tron and that’s the blockchain preferred by drug cartels, #pigbutchering fraudsters, and #sanctions evaders, which is why a lot of people call it “the crime chain”.

Nothing else of substance has ever happened on the Tron blockchain. For more on Tether see my post linked below.

When artists imagine the future these days, it looks bleak and dark — and actually, fair enough. But for Boomers, it was colorful, shiny, and sometimes sexy — and that's at least partly down to the late Syd Mead, the concept artist who worked on "Star Trek: The Motion Picture," "Tron" and "Blade Runner," and also depicted futuristic vehicles and alien vistas, imbued with optimism rather than evil. Six years after his death, Mead has his first retrospective, Future Pastime. Read more about it in the Art Newspaper's story here, and see it in New York until May 21. Story may be paywalled.

going to write a proper introduction post!

hello, my name is neo. i'm a transmasc in my 20's. generally speaking i like machines that move people, amusement rides, shooter games, and various sci fi and sci fi-adjacent media. i'm in between jobs right now, but my background spans aerospace engineering, acting, teaching, and operating amusement rides.

i occasionally draw and shoot 35mm film! (even less often, i write mediocre fanfiction.)

i'm on the fence about talking about my mental issues on new social media pages but you might find me mentioning them down the line.

i'll put my interests in the tags. (hopefully that's considered helpful here, like mastodon, and not spammy like it is on some sites.) happy to be here!
