I wonder...<p>I'm proud to support <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/AmandaEdwards" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AmandaEdwards</span></a> to be my next Congresswoman. </p><p><a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/TX18" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TX18</span></a> has had amazing congresswomen representing us in <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/Washington" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Washington</span></a>. Women whose names are recognized both nationally, and internationally. <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/BarbaraJordan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BarbaraJordan</span></a>. <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/SheilaJacksonLee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SheilaJacksonLee</span></a>. Women who were /in/ the <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/community" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>community</span></a>, and /of/ the community. </p><p>Those boots will be a challenge to fill. Amanda is up to the challenge. Whether serving in an elected position on the Houston City Council, or simply as a member of the community, If you or someone you know needs access to resources, Amanda is always an email or phone call away.</p><p>This is the kind of <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/representation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>representation</span></a> we deserve.</p><p>When a friend of mine came off papers after a <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/felony" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>felony</span></a> conviction, and was struggling to find work, I sent an email to Amanda asking about resources. Because, although I've lived in the <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/Houston" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Houston</span></a> metro area for over thirty years, I've only lived in actual Houston for the last five. When my family was struggling, I looked to Harris County resources. Not only did Amanda reply to my ema, she gave me names and contact information for actual humans.</p><p>I'm not anyone particularly special... and that's kinda my point. </p><p><a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/Texes" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Texes</span></a> <a href="https://lgbtqia.space/tags/Congress" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Congress</span></a></p>
