The question swirling about if this generation of #USMNT players “care” is worrying and sad. It’s a natural reaction when things go bad to question commitment, heart, etc. I may be naive or idealistic, but I refuse to believe this is the case with this group. But, if there are those who truly don’t care, we are the architects of our own demise. For years we’ve said our international success is dependent on having players playing in big clubs/leagues in Europe…and all the money, fame, and comfort that can come with it. Then it happened. But if a byproduct is that we’ve created a generation of players devoid of a sense of pride, connection, or responsibility in representing the country, we are done.
