The US now has >600 #measles cases in 22 states, acc/to the #CDC [& who knows if that’s being accurately reported]. That includes 481 cases in #Texas alone. The country has now reported >2X the number of measles cases this year than were reported in all of 2024.

The CDC says there have been 6 measles #outbreaks so far this year.

"Australian researchers have discovered that giving infants antibiotics in the first few weeks of life weakens their immune response to vaccines, possibly because of changes to certain bacteria in the gut microbiome.

Experiments in mice also revealed it was possible to restore vaccine immune response by administering Bifidobacterium species or Infloran, a probiotic already proven to be safe for use in infants."

"If you view vaccination as an individual choice and believe that anyone should be able to opt out for any reason at any time, then what you’re saying is that it’s okay to decide not to uphold your end of the social contract; that it’s okay to free-ride off of everyone else who actually did go get vaccinated."

She responds to CDC:

"The truth is, when it comes to public health, there really isn’t such a thing as a 'personal' or 'individual' choice — because every choice we make as individuals has implications for the health of those around us. Framing vaccination as an issue of 'personal choice' disregards the fact that choosing not to get vaccinated ultimately strips other people of their personal choice to stay healthy or to live a normal life."

Caroline Orr Bueno reports that ProPublica contacted the CDC to ask why it suppressed a report warning that the risk of measles is higher in areas near outbreaks where vaccination rates are lower.

CDC responded,

“The decision to vaccinate is a personal one." As Bueno notes, this echoes HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s own language about vaccination.

hitting the news is an article all about a study which was conducted into dementia. The study found that virus infections such as shingles could be linked with dementia. Researchers at Stanford University found that those who had been vaccinated against shingles were less likely to develop dementia over the following seven years. Researchers also found that the effect was greatest for women due to the way their immune system works.

Why is it that doctors and scientists think they can combat anti-vaxx with statistics and by mocking people?

The gall OF EVEN CITING "peer review", when peer review is an editorial aid, not a signifier of scientific value!

And yet they provide NO INSIGHT, as can be done with just a little logic.

For instance, if letting diseases run free through populations improved disease resistance, as RFK Jr suggests, should we run experiments? OF COURSE NOT! Why not? ...
