Sun drenched hill across the river Derwent.

Late afternoon sun glows on the rocky embankment of the river Derwent, with long shadows cast over tree covered hills behind from the undulating terrain. Suburbia in the foreground on this side of the river, low apartment buildings and large fuel silos sidelit, a contrast against the emptiness on the opposite side.

A Sea Eagle and their Noisy Miner antagonists.

A sea eagle is perched on a bare tree branch at lower right. Several Noisy Miners are urging it to move on, sitting above and to the left in the tree.

The antagonists succeed in making the eagle take off, it's wings at full span as it wheels away and down to the right, exposing the undersides of the wings. The Noisy Miners are in pursuit.

The eagle soars over the waters of the bay heading to the right, it's wings outstretched. A few branches of a gum tree on the embankment at the right gives indication of it's closeness to shore. I cropped out power lines above and fibre internet lines below, this resulting image through the gap between them.

The tide washes gently over a small rough stone embedded in the sand, a wavelet of lustrous motion frozen in time like a silken curtain. Bubbles in the whitewater on either side, the foreground blurring into the wet reflection. Blurry background.

Frolicking Dolphins.

Takumar 4/200mm.

Three dolphins launch vertically, the water streaming from their bodies. The right one is completely out of the water and most of it's body is above the horizon line. Low tree covered hills in the distance.

The same three dolphins from the first image, a split second later. All three are airborne. They have twisted in the air as if to look at the camera, the right two near colliding. Two more have emerged, one on each side.
