Silicon Underground (Dave F)<p>33 years ago today, Intel introduced its 486DX2 CPU. It was Intel's first clock-multiplied CPU and quickly became very popular. Today the 66 MHz 486DX2 is a retro classic. <a href="https://ioc.exchange/tags/retrocomputing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>retrocomputing</span></a> <a href="https://ioc.exchange/tags/retrogaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>retrogaming</span></a> <a href="https://ioc.exchange/tags/cpu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cpu</span></a> <a href="https://ioc.exchange/tags/vintagetech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vintagetech</span></a> <a href="https://ioc.exchange/tags/techhistory" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>techhistory</span></a> <a href="https://ioc.exchange/tags/nostalgia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>nostalgia</span></a> <a href="https://ioc.exchange/tags/intel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>intel</span></a> <a href="https://dfarq.homeip.net/intel-486dx2-cpu/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">dfarq.homeip.net/intel-486dx2-</span><span class="invisible">cpu/</span></a></p>

Low-interest Joan 💐 Mask up<p>Does anyone know anything about the Creative Zen Micro? Specifically, what to do if the screen is barely functioning?</p><p>I found mine the other day, and got it working, sort of (as I wanted to listen to mp3/mp4 files without uploading them to a server somewhere).</p><p>It seems to function - battery works, I can access files via my laptop - but the screen is super-faded and so I can't really use the interface. 😭</p><p>Anyone??</p><p><a href="https://toot.community/@museumofportablesound/109823857086519241" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">toot.community/@museumofportab</span><span class="invisible">lesound/109823857086519241</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/Creative" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Creative</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/CreativeZen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CreativeZen</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/CreativeZenMicro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CreativeZenMicro</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/VintageTech" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>VintageTech</span></a></p>
