oh la la the new m3 and m4 #macStudio is shipping soon.
no m4 ultra yet but the m3 ultra is definitely viable.
i built a comparable HP z-series for $16k to an m3 Ultra with the same memory and roughly the same storage for only $8k.
i can't add a 3-disk mirrored zpool on apple's site but that only costs like $1200 for 12TBx3 so i really have no time for "apple tax" nonsense.
being able to load a 30B+ parameter LLM on my desk would be pretty badass.
