Every day we see new tulips open up.
I don't label any of the pots so we can enjoy the surprise. The mix of colors and varieties.

@NorcalGma2 What growing zone are you in? I'm trying to decide if I could overwinter tulips in pots like you do. I'm way up in zone 6A or B. Gophers ate all my tulips years ago and I haven't replanted since. I love seeing yours.

It looks like we are 9b. My pots are somewhat protected over the winter under our deck.
All of my half barrels are used for dahlias or vegetables in the summer, so I dig those tulip bulbs up, and winter them in brown paper bags, in a box, in a cool dry spot, in our garage.
I have pretty good luck with the bulbs. I know some people refrigerate them but I don't.
