This gauge is machine-automated bothsides-ism, you realize that, right?
This was found at the bottom of the article that discusses how the US Military is purging images of Enola Gay (the aircraft) thanks to Anti-DEI sweeps. How this article is “unfair left leaning” outside of making Trumpers look bad is beyond me, but there you go.
EDIT: I was mistaken: the gauge as shown is in the “default” position before you make a selection. That…is TERRIBLE UX. The point stands though: this is automated both-sidesism, especially if the score is tied to each journalist’s compensation and promotion prospects. This is not a good idea.

@drahardja Looks like that is the default start position. You have to click on one of the segments and then confirm your selection
@harold AHH well that’s terrible UX.
Still my point stands. This is automated bothsides-ism.
If that works the way it looks like it works, it would be really easy to game that system.
@EverydayMoggie I hope they don’t tie it to promotions and bonuses in the newsroom.
@drahardja I'm all for that but for a different reason . . .
Just don't think that the plane that was used to drop a nuclear bomb for the 1st time anywhere in the word should be celebrated, especially since one has never been used again & the only time one has ever been used was against Asians (whether justified or not).
@sgt1372 I think historical records should be kept and made available to the public, even if it’s something bad that happened.
@drahardja it's literally the dial that says racism from that dril tweet
