In suppressing pro-Palestine students, President Gay was doing the job of a Harvard president (profiting from donors who accumulated wealth through slave trading (Epstein), plantations, machiladoras, textile sweatshops worked by people in various levels of bondage) and carrying out the University’s commitment to white supremacy. But ultimately, when she failed to do this well enough, she became a victim (scalped in the words of supremacists) of the same racism she had tried to uphold.
