@sgt1372 My understanding is that the Dexter Gordon character in 'Round Midnight is largely based on Bud Powell.

and I guess I should "upgrade" by collection by getting a #DVD copy of Round Midnight too. 
@sgt1372 There is also ‘Round Midnight Dexter Gordon album. I have the DVD also and even a DVD player. I keep thinking it will pop up on one of the streaming services but no joy so far.
@briansullivan The RoundMidnight recording is just the sound track for the movie which will be on the #VHS tape & #DVD but I can see the point of buying it, just to listen to the music & I may buy it too.
@sgt1372 I have it on vinyl bought before dvd was a thing. Can't imagine VHS would be too high quality.
@briansullivan@sdf.org #VHS was "leading edge tech" in its day & something is better than nutt'n. LOL!
Just checked on #Discogs & they aren't asking much (if any) more for #LPs vs #CDs, so I'll probably buy the #Soundtrack for #RoundMidnight on LP & the #DVDs aren't demanding very high prices either.
Guess there's some advantage in #Jazz being a less popular form of music.
